A Pharmaceutical Company based in Carlsbad, CA is seeking an Intune Engineer to join their team for a short-term contract. The primary responsibility of this role will require the Engineer to focus on endpoint management, troubleshooting, and user support for both Mac and Windows platforms. Expertise with Intune, Autopilot, and enterprise SaaS platforms is essential. The Support Engineer, will serve as a technical escalation point for the helpdesk and field support teams, resolving complex issues across a hybrid enterprise IT environment. On a day-to-day basis, they will provide advanced technical support for Windows 10/11, macOS, and iOS endpoints. This includes managing and troubleshooting devices enrolled in Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, performing root cause analysis, and documenting fixes for recurring problems. They will be responsible for handling application installations, configurations, patching, and imaging, while collaborating with the Info Sec team to support AV tools, VPN, remote access, and software deployment tools. They will create and update documentation for systems, processes, and common resolutions, participate in device lifecycle management from procurement to decommissioning, and work with security and compliance teams on endpoint standards. Additionally, they will be responsible for resolving escalated issues from Level 1/2 support teams and assist with user provisioning, identity issues (AAD), and device compliance, which are also key aspects of this role.

5+ years of hands-on experience in a Tier II/Tier III Desktop Engineering role
Strong background and working experience with Microsoft Intune and its features (Autopilot, Azure AD join, Hybrid join)
o Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications with Intune
o Experience of deployment, migration, optimization, and ongoing support of Intune
o Experience integrating Intune with other Microsoft 365 security products.
Experience in scripting and automation (PowerShell)
Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Proficient in supporting macOS and Windows 10/11 in a corporate environment.
o Experience with Windows 10/11 deployment, migration, and management
Familiarity with iOS device management.
Experience/familiarity with Apple Business Manager
Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Solarwinds, Service Now, Jira).
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Understanding and experience with Conditional Access, Compliance Policies, and Application Protection Policies
Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., pharma, healthcare) is a plus.
Microsoft Certified: MD-102 or higher
CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+
