Job Description
We are seeking a Quality & Risk Data Analyst who is comfortable working in a remote setting. On a day-to-day basis you will be the primary data analyst responsible for the end-to-end preparation, validation, and delivery of quality and risk related datasets. Typical daily activities include:
Logging into the SQL environment to run, debug, and optimize queries that extract and transform source data
Reconciling incoming data feeds and performing row-level and aggregate validation checks after scheduled data loads
Triaging and resolving data discrepancies by tracing issues back to source tables or upstream ETL processes and coordinating fixes with the SQL/development team
Building reproducible query logic and documented SQL scripts that implement business rules for HEDIS/quality measures and claims-derived metrics
Producing and publishing routine reports and data files (including uploads to vendor/portal systems) and verifying post-upload accuracy
Creating and maintaining clear technical documentation and runbooks for data processes, validation checks, and change control steps
Participating in peer reviews of SQL/query logic and version-controlled change submissions
Partnering proactively with quality, risk, and business stakeholders to translate metric definitions into testable logic, scope ad-hoc requests, and present findings with actionable recommendations
Performing ad-hoc analyses to investigate trends, root causes, and measure variances and producing concise summaries and visualizations for business audiences

Required Skills & Experience
Must-haves Requirements:
Strong SQL skills
Comfortable logging into databases, writing complex queries, computing business logic, and manipulating data for analysis and reporting
Proven experience as a data analyst (preferably 5+ years overall experience)
Experience working with healthcare quality measures and metrics (e.g., HEDIS/quality score reporting) or claims/finance data
Demonstrated ability to validate data loads, perform QA checks, and troubleshoot data issues end-to-end
Strong technical writing and documentation skills (systems, procedures, runbooks)
Familiarity with source code control/versioning (or equivalent) and peer review processes
Experience with SSRS or other reporting tools used to deliver reports (knowledge of reporting tool workflows)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with IBM AS/400 (iSeries) environments or familiarity with systems that interface to legacy claim platforms
Background with IPA/MSO medical management models
Familiarity with basic scripting or modern languages (e.g., Python, C#) is a plus but not required
