Job Description
The Senior Durability Technician provides 85–90% hands‑on mechanical and electrical support for durability and corrosion testing on Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles. The role focuses on deep diagnostics, bi‑weekly inspections, and high‑quality documentation to support engineering teams. You will perform complex troubleshooting and repair on prototype, development, and production vehicles; complete bi‑weekly durability and corrosion inspections; and enter detailed findings into engineering databases. Work includes major component removal and installation (engine, transmission, driveline), AC service, and high‑voltage procedures when trained. You’ll install and maintain data acquisition equipment, support vehicle tear‑downs, and collaborate directly with engineers to clarify issues and improve designs. Work is performed through structured work orders with occasional travel under 10%.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of automotive technician experience in dealership, independent shop, or development/test environments.
• ASE Master Technician preferred; ASE + OEM/manufacturer training (Ford, Toyota, etc.) strongly valued.
• Ability to perform major mechanical operations (engine/transmission removal, clutch replacement, driveline service).
• Strong diagnostic capability using scan tools, multimeters, and standard automotive test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow detailed test procedures.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail; able to produce clear, accurate notes for engineering teams.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical work (standing, bending, lifting) for 6–8 hours daily.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles and high‑voltage systems is a plus
