Job Description

The Wearables Games team is building interactive game experiences for wearable devices. We’re looking for a versatile, traditional Technical Artist who can act as the glue between art, design, and engineering—helping the team move efficiently from prototype to polished, shippable content.

What you will do:
Own the shader and VFX pipeline for 3 AR games shipping on RayBan Meta display glasses
Author real-time shaders for novel AR interactions: hand effects, spatial puzzle depth cues, mission controller table-view rendering
Build and optimize particle/VFX systems for game feel across all 3 titles
Hit performance targets on hardware with tight compute and memory budget
Partner with another TA (character pipeline) and a stylized 3D generalist

What we are looking for:
Shipped a title as primary shader or VFX TA on console, PC, or mobile
Strong shader authoring in HLSL/GLSL or node-based graphs (Unreal Material Editor, Unity Shader Graph)
VFX systems experience (Niagara, VFX Graph, or equivalent)
Performance-first mindset - optimization, profiling, budget management

Bonus: AR/MR or hand tracking content, Houdini, procedural tool development

Required Skills & Experience

Shipped at least 1 console/mobile title as primary shader or VFX TA
5 years' experience shipping games in Unreal or Unity
Strong shader authoring

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Houdini
AR/MR experience, hand tracking content
Procedural tools
