Job Description
An entertainment client in Southern California is looking for a Program Manager (Technical) to join the Studio Technology Program Management team supporting the Motion Picture Technology teams. Whether supporting production technology, managing data systems that enable financial operations, or delivering consumer-facing applications, these teams propel the client's legacy forward.
They are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead special programs and cross-functional initiatives to ensure project and operational excellence. This role combines project management, agile methodology, and technical expertise to drive impactful solutions for production, data, and technology projects. Core Responsibilities
· Lead a program of technology initiatives and projects with significant complexity throughout their lifecycle. This includes project intake, use case definition, charter and scope definition, project plan development, capacity allocations, resource assignment, project execution, and post-mortems.
· Oversee portfolios that include large-scale complex projects that span across internal and external technology departments and, at times, with vendors.
· Manage tasks and resources through waterfall, scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
· Prioritize and escalate critical operational tasks, execute project work plans, and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
· Coordinate, manage, and communicate updates and request from external teams outside of Studio Technology and work with stakeholders/vendors to execute.
· Manage day-to-day activities for team members, ensuring blockers are removed, and team throughput is maximized.
· Lead and/or partner with other project managers to lead sprint ceremonies, including planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and reporting.
· Organize and maintain project documentation and artifacts

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years of experience in technical project management, utilizing waterfall and agile methodology.
-Experience in helping manage cross-functional technical teams, including architects, infrastructure and data center engineers, software developers, system reliability engineers, storage engineers and/or audio and visual engineers.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Experience in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet - Velocity Change in projects in Jira) and process mapping tools (e.g., LucidChart).
-Demonstrated ability to status programs and projects to executives using LucidChart, Miro, and PowerPoint.
-Strong communication (oral, written, and visual), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
-Strong meeting facilitation skills and effective team player
-Experience in AI and/or Machine Learning.
-Experience with Product teams; delivering and project managing in an agile methodology for product development and deployment.
-Certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master (CSM).

-Experience working in media, entertainment, or production environments.

-Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
