Job Description
THE TEAM
The Marketplace Product team for our Client is responsible for the online and mobile face of the business and the technology behind it - which enables fans to discover, buy and access the music, sports, arts and theatre tickets they just can’t miss out on.
THE JOB
As a Technical Product Manager in our Purchase team, you will own the evolution of the platform services that power real‑time pricing and inventory availability across our clients Marketplace. You’ll define service architectures, partner deeply with engineering, and deliver the APIs and data streams that enable fans to discover and purchase tickets with clarity and confidence of our modern fan platform.
Our product team manages the finding and selection of tickets for live events – how we make fans aware of which tickets are available for sale, what those tickets include, what they cost and more – in a highly performant, error-free environment.
This role will exercise more of your technical capabilities and build on the APIs that power this experience. You will work closely with engineering to translate distributed systems concepts (Kafka streaming, real‑time pricing services, inventory services) into clear product requirements and platform capabilities. As we continue to build out this service and related APIs, it will be used to not only power our maps at Ticketmaster, but also pricing and inventory information throughout the site, our offerings on third party partners, and many of our marketing campaigns.
WHAT WE NEED YOU FOR
• Lead full lifecycle ownership of platform services powering real‑time pricing and availability—from roadmap definition to launch, monitoring, and iterative optimization.
• Translate complex business requirements (eligibility rules, taxes, pricing logic, inventory states) into clear technical specifications and API contracts.
• Partner with engineering to design and evolve high‑throughput, low‑latency services, including Kafka‑based data pipelines.
• Define telemetry, SLIs/SLOs, and data contracts required for observability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate across Marketplace teams to ensure consistent, accurate fan‑facing price and inventory presentation.
• Own the Pricing Transparency initiative, delivering a unified pricing service with centralized eligibility & tax logic, market‑specific compliance, and real‑time updates across the fan journey.
