Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an experienced fundraiser to join one of our largest higher education clients. Reporting to the Director, Annual Giving and Alumni Relations, the Coordinator, Alumni & Donor Relations administers a variety of high-level tasks and projects related to annual giving, stewardship, alumni relations, development operations and events. The Coordinator supports and collaborates with colleagues who are moving prospects through all phases of the donor cycle. This role requires active listening, rapid acquisition of knowledge about the School of Public Health's fundraising programs, priorities, and alumni, and the ability to work independently and prioritize among competing demands. This position will be best suited for an individual who has several years of development support experience, and who is looking to develop a career in higher education advancement.

Role Details & General D2D:
- Project Management: Plans and implements established fundraising and alumni programs (e.g., Big Give) with limited discretion and complexity.
- Alumni Engagement: Supports key alumni initiatives such as reunions, newsletters, class campaigns, and alumni awards; may assist with Public Health Alumni Association Board activities.
- Fundraising & Stewardship: Aids in donor renewal efforts and supports development officers with donor relations and administrative tasks. Manages donor acknowledgments and may make stewardship calls.
- Communications: Prepares and may design materials for fundraising events, newsletters, and solicitations.
- Events: Assists with planning and executing donor and alumni events related to stewardship, fundraising, and engagement.
- Program Support: Provides basic analysis of program outcomes, helps develop communications, and coordinates student staff. Expected to meet fundraising targets.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years in a fundraising/philanthropy operations or related Coordinator role.
- Solid technical skills: ability to use Salesforce (basic knowledge of CRM required) & Excel.
- Excellent oral communication & interpersonal skills; this individual will be working closely with faculty, world class alumni, and utilizing political acumen required to build and maintain working relationships at all org levels.
- Outstanding written communication (developing internal comms, marketing campaigns, and standardizing SOPs/templates in this space are applicable).
- Able to operate in project management capacity and is not above handling administrative support tasks.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities associated with donor cycles within a large/matrixed organization.
- Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, etc.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Mass email campaign experience (ie. Mailchimp).
- Higher ed experience/background.
- Experience with graphic design tools.
- Maintained confidentiality of donor clients in previous roles.
