Job Description

We are seeking a personable and resourceful HR Contractor to support our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for an HR professional who is passionate about employee well-being, work-life balance, and providing clear guidance on benefits and leave policies. The contractor will serve as a trusted resource for employees, offering support and information on a variety of HR topics.

Required Skills & Experience

Serve as a primary point of contact for employees with questions about:
Work-life balance and strategies for healthy boundaries
Company benefits, including health, dental, and vision plans
Parental leave policies and processes
Consulting arrangements and related HR matters
School and family-related resources
Facilitate and guide conversations around work-life balance, helping employees navigate challenges and find solutions that work for them
Provide clear, accurate information on HR policies and procedures
Support onboarding and offboarding processes as needed
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Collaborate with HR leadership to identify trends and recommend improvements to policies or resources
Attend onsite meetings 1x/week and as needed for team engagement or sensitive conversations

Qualifications
6+ years of HR experience
Strong knowledge of benefits administration, parental leave, and employee relations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and discretion
Experience supporting a school environment

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
