We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the weekly payroll for our California-based employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires proficiency in Excel and a strong understanding of payroll processes within the construction industry. Normal day pull the payroll data every entry hours make sure everything matches the time and batches then goes back to the approver they will make adjustments and then they are on weekly payroll. M-W close. TH and Friday adjustments, auditing, attention to detail. Ensure they are not double paying them
Process weekly payroll for all California employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates.
Calculate and process deductions, such as taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
Ensure compliance with state and federal payroll regulations and company policies.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues.
Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Utilize Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role, preferably within the construction/Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of California payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
