Job Description
An employer in Auburn, CA is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join their team. This person will be expected to:
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across power generation / hydro environments
- Own and drive project execution across scope, schedule, budget, and cost controls
- Develop, maintain, and improve project schedules, forecasts, and cost tracking frameworks
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, field teams, asset management, etc.) to ensure alignment and delivery
- Support project planning for future initiatives, including outlining scope, timelines, and resource needs
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to project governance standards
- Provide consistent status reporting, financial tracking, and executive-level updates
- Operate effectively in both field (up to 50%) and office/remote environments

Required Skills & Experience
- 7–10+ years of project management experience within utilities, energy, or infrastructure
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
- Experience overseeing multiple workstreams or projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle, planning, and execution frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate field + office teams
- Ability to ramp quickly and operate independently with minimal oversight
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Background in hydroelectric generation or power generation projects
- Experience with project controls, construction management, or asset management programs
- Familiarity with tools such as Primavera (P6), MS Project, SAP, or similar cost/schedule systems
