Job Description
A client of Insight Global is hiring for a cook for their open kitchen (customer facing cook) in Antioch, CA.
Responsibilities:
Prepare high-quality meals from scratch, including sauces, marinades, and spice blends.
Cook meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, fruits, soups, cereals, salads, desserts, and beverages.
Follow medically-prescribed diet orders (e.g., fluid, texture, nutrient restrictions) for vulnerable populations.
Ensure food safety, especially regarding allergens and cross-contamination.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
Lead and instruct other staff, including temporary workers or students.
Manage inventory, rotate stock, and utilize leftovers efficiently.
May assist in menu and recipe development.
Compensation: $20-25/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
-California State Food Worker card
-At least one year of experience in food preparation and service
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Ability to work 11am-8pm Wednesday-Sunday shift
