Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a full-time Supervising Geotechnical Engineer to join a large engineering consulting company in Anaheim, CA. This individual will be responsible for managing various geotechnical projects from conformance with plans, specifications, regulations and codes during all construction phases. This individual will act as the liaison between the Geotechnical Engineering and Materials Testing Group and the Construction Management Group. They will be responsible for developing an engineering operating strategy that is aligned with the company's business strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

4-6 years of experience with strong understanding of geotechnical engineering designs and specifications including development of engineering properties of soil and rock, foundation design and analysis, foundation analysis under dynamic loads and earthworks, pile installation and testing, numerical analysis, soil and/or rock slope stability analysis, and construction specifications
Strong analytic, problem solving, time management, organization, budgeting, writing, and speaking skills are required
Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction plans and technical drawings
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Familiarity with operating smart devices

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiarity with Caltrans QAP and LAPM Standards
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of California or Registered Geotechnical Engineer (G.E.) in the State of California or related Geologist Certification is preferable.
