Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Construction Manager to support energy efficiency and retrofit projects withing the California Bay Area. The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from pre‑construction through closeout, including execution, budget ownership, forecasting, invoicing, and client‑facing communication. This individual will coordinate with internal stakeholders such as engineering, finance, and assistant construction managers, while directly managing subcontractors and ensuring project milestones are met. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include leading complex mechanical and electrical scopes—such as HVAC, boilers, chillers, piping systems, BMS/BAS, and lighting—resolving technical and scheduling challenges, and serving as the primary point of contact for customers. Projects typically support facilities within higher education, K 12 education, healthcare, government, commercial, and industrial environments.

Required Skills & Experience
○ *MUST BE ABLE TO GO ONSITE IN BAY AREA (Remote when not onsite)
○ 3+ years of experience working as a Construction Manager
o Role level and salary (Associate CM, CM, vs. Senior CM) will be based on years of experience
○ Experience overseeing project execution, budget ownership, forecasting, invoicing, and customer‑facing communication
○ Experience with complex mechanical systems, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, piping systems, and BMS/BAS systems
○ Ability to maintain and develop client relationships
○ Experience managing a large number of subcontractors
Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in commercial and institutional facilities
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
o Knowledge of the ESCO design and commissioning process is preferred.
o Past DSA experience or broader government/municipal project experience is a plus
