Job Description

As an Availability Project Manager, you will provide fleet-wide sustainment support for Long Range Enforcer assets, including maintenance, engineering, and logistics support for engine overhauls, planned/unplanned projects, and other miscellaneous maintenance and repair projects. You will perform project management functions for assigned ship maintenance projects, including reviewing pending work requirements, compiling maintenance specifications, milestone planning, preparing government estimates, developing statements of work, and monitoring projects. Your role will also involve market research, supply procurement, technical reviews, and providing engineering guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide fleet-wide sustainment support for Long Range Enforcer assets.
Perform project management functions for ship maintenance projects.
Review, maintain, and update ship maintenance records and casualty databases.
Conduct market research and prepare purchase request documents.
Provide technical reviews and recommendations for maintenance practices.
Perform project milestone maintenance and closeout functions.
Initiate and track ship repairs.
Conduct research to determine cost drivers and operational degraders.
Provide responsive and courteous customer service to all Coast Guard members.
Develop deliverables using Coast Guard Standard Workstations or contractor computers with CG-compatible software.
Attend and actively participate in meetings as assigned.
Prepare and deliver documentation for review and routing.
Perform all other related duties for the successful accomplishment of the task order.

Required Skills & Experience

Education/Certification Requirements:
Five years of experience in USCG Naval Engineering maintenance practices and procedures.
Five years of experience in ship/boat maintenance, including drydocking procedures.
Five years of experience in Project Management.
Five years of experience conducting maintenance assessments on ships/boats.
Two years of experience in specification or technical procedure development.
