Cooling Tower Mechanical Technician

Insight Global is looking for a Cooling Tower Mechanical Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and maintenance of cooling tower systems. In this position, you will work with cutting-edge technology alongside a dedicated team to support efficient operations and contribute to sustainable energy solutions. This role has no supervisory responsibilities but involves performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance, identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues, and repairing or replacing components such as fans, motors, pumps, and valves. You will be responsible for cleaning and chemically treating cooling tower water systems to prevent scaling and corrosion, monitoring and adjusting system controls for efficiency, and maintaining accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repairs. The position also requires collaboration with engineering and operations teams to implement efficiency improvements, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, assisting with the installation and commissioning of new systems, responding promptly to emergency repairs, and staying current with the latest cooling tower technologies and maintenance practices. Additionally, you will provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other maintenance personnel as needed.

Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, specifically with cooling towers.
• Strong knowledge of cooling tower systems, components, and operations.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with cooling towers.
Experience with the installation and alignment of cooling tower components.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts when necessary.
