Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a fully remote Tax Manager to join their fast-growing team! Our client is a newly formed company that has broken away from the traditional CPA firm mold. They have shed the audit side of accounting and are focusing on tax compliance, tax consulting, venture capital, wealth growth, tax strategy, and tax structuring. Since its inception in the Summer of 2022, the firm has increased revenue by 30% and added 20 high-level and experienced staff. The firm integrates a multi-family feel into a CPA firm by serving as our client's first point advisors when it comes to client's tax, investment, and business management needs.







We are looking for smart, personable, and hard-working individuals that want to further their career in tax while also gaining exposure to the venture capital, strategy, and detailed business dealings of a variety of industries. This is an opportunity to learn areas that traditional CPA firms cannot offer. Candidates will work closely in all aspects with their clients with the intention that they gain a well-rounded expertise in preparing returns and eventually consulting for a variety of different clients.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



- Manager will be responsible for running their own book of business.

- Manager will be the final review prior to returns being passed to the director/signer.

- Manager will have at least two direct reports that will work on their book and will be responsible for reviewing performance and work product.

- Manager will be involved in high level planning and consulting and will be responsible for carrying out the decisions that are made as a result of these meetings.

- Manager will lead client meetings and will be responsible for following through on all aspects of services.

- Managers will have the autonomy to make client facing decisions once the model and goals are learned, applied, and practiced.

- Manager will need to be able to pivot between large groups of clients and have the ability to multi-task efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8 to 15 years experience in public accounting

- CPA required

- Bachelors/master's degree in accounting/tax or related

- Experience in pass-through tax returns required

- Experience leading a team, managing client accounts and consulting with clients required

- Organizational skills and ability to handle a variety of different projects at once are a must

- Must be able and willing to take on unfamiliar projects

- Experience in wealth management, trust/estate, and individual income tax returns highly preferred

- Software experience required -- CCH Axcess and CCH Engagement
