Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer 1 for a leading aerospace and defense client. This engineer will be responsible for the design and development of propulsion, fuel system, and test equipment hardware in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment. The role emphasizes hands‑on mechanical design, CAD ownership of complex assemblies, and close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and test teams. This opportunity offers exposure to prototype and flight‑adjacent hardware, technical leadership responsibilities, and the chance to contribute directly to cutting‑edge aerospace propulsion programs.

Required Skills & Experience
- Must be Proficient in PTC Creo, Windchill, NX, and Teamcenter. (CATIA is a viable option)
- Must have working Knowledge of ASME Y14.5-2009 and GD&T
- Basic ANSYS and FEA experience
- Experience producing engineering drawings, source control drawings, specifications, and test procedures
- Must have working Knowledge of Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machine Parts Design, and Weldments.
- Must Have a working Knowledge of Materials and Material Finishes
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance is required
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- An EIT (Engineer in Training) certificate is desirable.
