Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented UI Designer to join the Business-to-Business (B2B) team of one of Vancouvers largest and most respected retail organizations. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the potential to make a significant impact on the companys digital experience for both large-scale enterprise clients and small business partners.
In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing the user interface and experience of internal and client-facing web applications. You will act as a bridge between design and development teams, combining your technical knowledge of web technologies with a strong sense of visual and interaction design. Your work will directly support the evolution of a unique B2B platform, helping to streamline workflows and improve usability across various back-office systems.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to create seamless, user-friendly web application interfaces.
Translate business requirements and user needs into functional, visually appealing design solutions.
Support the development team by providing detailed design specifications, wireframes, and prototypes.
Ensure design consistency and technical feasibility across multiple platforms and devices.
Participate in design reviews, usability testing, and iterative feedback cycles.
Work with back-office systems and understand the technical constraints and opportunities they present.

Required Skills & Experience

35 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a B2B environment.
Strong understanding of front-end development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and how design translates into code.
Proficiency in design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Miro, and similar platforms.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with developers and technical teams.
Experience designing for complex systems, including enterprise or internal tools.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to present design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A portfolio of past projects is required. Please note: UI visual artwork or purely aesthetic samples will not be consideredwe are looking for examples that demonstrate your technical design thinking and problem-solving in real-world applications.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previous experience working on B2B platforms or enterprise-level applications.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
