Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an SDET to join one of Vancouver's largest retailed on a contract basis with a 4 days/week requirement. The SDET they are looking for requires an expertise in Playwright or similar automation tools to ensure high-quality web applications. This role focuses on automated testing, e-commerce functionality, and cookie compliance (GDPR, CCPA). The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and aligns with our companys culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Cypress
Test e-commerce workflows, including checkout, payments, and user sessions
Validate cookie banner behavior and ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for faster releases
Track defects, analyze test results, and generate reports in Jira, TestRail, or Power BI
Maintain and update automated test suites to align with new features and changes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and legal teams, to ensure cookie tracking, data privacy, and overall product quality
Actively contribute to a positive team culture, sharing knowledge and best practices to uplift the entire QE team

Required Skills & Experience

- Over 5 years of experience working within Test Automation
- Experience with Playwright and Cypress for test automation
- Strong JavaScript skills and API Automation testing knowledge (get-call and post-call)
- Familiarity with TestRail or similar test management tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice to have Google Analytics, DataDog and Performance testing.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
