Job Description

Insight Global is looking for detail-oriented and bilingual Quality Assurance Analyst to join a boutique Canadian financial institution.
This role is primarily focused on the daily pre-funding credit quality reviews of single-family residential mortgages, ensuring strict adherence to Peoples Group’s policies, procedures, default insurer guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
The analyst will work closely with underwriters, fulfillment specialists, and external mortgage partners to identify and resolve file issues efficiently and accurately. The position requires proactive monitoring of the daily deal pipeline, reprioritizing reviews as needed, and producing daily and monthly reporting for management and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Complete daily pre-funding audits of residential mortgage files to ensure compliance with internal policies, insurer guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with underwriters and fulfillment teams to resolve identified issues and maintain consistency across reviews.
Monitor the deal pipeline and adjust priorities to meet deadlines and operational needs.
Record and score reviewed files using MS Excel, including clear coach-back notes on non-critical errors to support continuous improvement.
Track and follow up on EDD Head’s Up Fraud Alerts received from default insurers.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc post-funding audits as assigned.
Ensure KYC and AML/ATF documentation and procedures are fully compliant.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Peoples Group’s lending policies and regulatory requirements.
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Team & Collaboration
Work within an internal underwriting team that includes underwriters and fulfillment specialists.
Coordinate with external mortgage lenders where Peoples Group is the investor—mortgages are originated through third-party brokers and must meet PG’s lending guidelines.
Engage primarily via email with underwriters and QA management, including Carole, to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
Support a behind-the-scenes team focused on quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
