Job Description

One of BC's leading health authorities is looking for a Project Analyst to join their Real Estate and Land Development team. Reporting to the Director, the Project Analyst will be responsible for providing analysis and project support for the Project Managers of the team. The Project Analyst will be developing queries, preparing and compiling reports and documents, supporting in business planning, preparing charts and records related to the projects, and coordinating the distribution of project tracking information and executive reports. The role requires strong technical expertise in data extraction, transformation, and visualization, combined with a solid understanding of project management and capital finance within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include:
. Report on the Tenant Improvement portfolio, supporting Project Managers with financial tracking, budgeting, and invoice management
. Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to improve reporting, efficiency, and visibility
. Extract data from internal systems and data sources, assess data quality, and correct inconsistencies to ensure accurate reporting
. Design, build, and maintain ETL processes to support recurring weekly and monthly reporting
. Build and maintain automated reporting pipelines using Power Query, structured logic, and documented processes
. Perform advanced data analysis and modeling in Excel, including extensive use of Power Query, complex formulas, and structured datasets
. Develop and manage the Project Manager Fee Tracker to monitor workload, budgets, and performance
. Lead resource management and evaluation to optimize project team allocation and capacity planning
. Support Facilities Management Procurement (FMP) processes
. Plan, coordinate, and deliver capital and operational projects from initiation to completion
. Manage budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholder communications for multiple projects
. Collaborate closely with Finance, Decision Support, Clinical Programs, Construction teams, and other stakeholders to align reporting with business and governance requirements
. Translate business problems and information gaps into analytical solutions and clearly communicate insights to technical and non-technical audience
. Ensure all projects align with organizational goals, standards, and regulatory requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Analytics, or a related discipline supplemented by financial and project management courses
• Minimum of 4 years experience as a Project Analyst or Business Analyst
• Advanced experience in Power BI, including data modeling, dashboard development, creating reports, and refresh management
• Strong hands-on experience with ETL concepts and implementation
• Experience in the use of software applications to create a variety of databases, documents, and presentations (MS Project, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Experience in maintaining, monitoring, calculating, and summarizing data through documentation and records
• Working knowledge of capital project financial principles and governance frameworks

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Solid understanding of project management fundamentals, preferably within construction or healthcare capital environments
