A day in the life:
The Tech Foundations Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall health of the Tech Foundations portfolio, including annual operation planning, financial health, delivery practices, and strategic sessions. This role ensures effective governance, strategic alignment, and successful delivery of projects while managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring effective portfolio governance through multiple programs and projects across Enterprise Engineering, Tech Platforms, Cloud, Infrastructure, Service Excellence, Architecture, and Data & Analytics, in alignment with Tech Portfolio Management & Operations standards (TPMO) to create visibility across Tech leaders and enable decision-making.
Leading Quarterly Planning for Tech Foundations Portfolio, gathering all project inputs and dependencies from key stakeholders and aligning on above/below the line priorities for each quarter.
Leading Tech Performance Reviews and other relevant contributions, in collaboration with other Portfolio Managers, to externally driven cadences (Enterprise & Tech Foundations Quarterly Business Reviews - QBR) and managing internal governance (Monthly Business Reviews - MBR).
Managing Tech Foundations portfolio reporting to ensure the collection and analysis of information to enable real-time visibility into the status and progress of portfolios for decision-making, including monitoring KPIs and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives across all portfolios (Objectives and Key Results OKRs).
Managing risk and issues at the TF portfolio level by ensuring they are captured, ensuring mitigation plans, enabling escalation, and leading effective risk and quality management practices within the portfolio.
Lead Tech Foundations' AOP by managing financial planning, drafting business cases, and overseeing the submission and approval processes to align with strategic objectives and business needs.
Facilitating strategic planning processes from 3-5 year planning with key stakeholders, including gathering inputs (OKRs), capturing strategic priorities, and ensuring Technology Roadmaps, Product Roadmaps, and Capability Roadmaps are updated to reflect exercises.

Has 3-5 years experience in a Program Management role focusing on managing large-scale technology portfolios, focusing on Cloud Network and Infrastructure
Proficiency in risk and issue management, ensuring quality delivery and portfolio health.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide coaching and support to portfolio managers and leads.
Successful track record with dependency management and cross-functional projects mapping.
Leans into agility and flexibility to comfortably multi-task and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment to deliver maximum business value with minimum impact to teams.
Ability to drive change management and adoption of new frameworks within the portfolio.
Strong focus on the 'tech for tech' approach, ensuring continuous improvement of internal developer experiences, reducing friction, and enhancing efficiency and satisfaction.
Can operate with autonomy and meet expectations once guidance is set and objectives are clear.
Proven experience including annual operation/financial planning (AOP), ongoing financial health reporting, and delivery practices is a plus.
