Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Power Platform Engineer to join a major retail company in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will design and deliver enterprise‑grade automation, applications, and AI‑powered solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and AI Builder. This individual will work hands‑on building Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Copilot Studio agents, while also shaping platform standards and enabling a federated citizen‑development model. The role carries strong ownership, technical influence, and visibility across the business.

Key responsibilities include:
Designing and building Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑Driven) and complex Power Automate workflows
Developing Dataverse data models, security roles, and managed solutions aligned to enterprise standards
Creating Copilot Studio agents integrated with enterprise systems, data sources, and Power Automate actions
Implementing AI Builder models such as document processing, form extraction, classification, and prediction
Embedding AI capabilities into apps, automations, and Copilot experiences
Creating reusable components, automation patterns, and accelerators used across teams
Reviewing solutions built by other teams and providing technical guidance and quality oversight
Partnering with business stakeholders to take automation and AI solutions from concept through production
Helping define and evolve platform standards, guardrails, and best practices to support safe scaling

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform
Advanced hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse
Experience building enterprise solutions using Copilot Studio
Experience with Power Platform CoE Starter Kit
Experience with Copilot Studio Starter Kit
Hands-on experience with AI Builder in real-world scenarios
Strong understanding of governance and operating within a citizen development model
Experience with Git-based ALM (GitLab and/or Azure DevOps)
Strong communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Support and evolve Power Platform governance in a federated model
Contribute to environment strategy, DLP policies, security, and access controls
Support ALM practices using managed solutions and CI/CD pipelines
Leverage industry tooling such as the Power Platform CoE Starter Kit
Mentor developers and support citizen development enablement
Azure integrations (Functions, Logic Apps, APIs, custom connectors)
Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-200, PL-400, PL-600)
Experience monitoring developers or leading enablement initiatives
