Insight Global is looking for a Lead Power BI Developer to join an enterprise retail company in Vancouver in a hybrid work model for a 6-month contract with possibility of extension. This Lead Power BI Developer will guide the team of developers by setting and ensuring coding standards, performing peer reviews, and overall holistically leading the team to success.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead development of mobile applications (iOS, Android) using relevant coding language(s)
• Conduct regular testing, debugging, and quality assurance reviews
• Act as subject matter expert for coding language(s) and solutions design
• Create and maintain relevant documentation and conduct knowledge transfer activities

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
• 8+ years’ experience designing and developing Power BI Reports & Dashboards with SQL data sources (preferably data warehouses) within Azure cloud.
• 2+ years in a Team Lead role providing mentorship and thought leadership for Power BI and Microsoft/
• Experience implementing and enforcing best practices for a team of Power BI Developers
• 4+ years working with data modelling skillsets using SQL at enterprise companies (1000+ employees)
- Strong experience with M Language and Dax Queries
• Strong understanding of mobile design principles
• Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal.
• Must be a collaborator and able to work with and through others.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
