Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a strong IT Advisor to join a prominent utility's Cybersecurity team in OT/Risk Management Team. This is a hybrid role, 2 days a week onsite in Vancouver. Responsible for assessing security and compliance impacts across technology and corporate initiatives. Key duties include conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, leading third-party vendor evaluations, supporting audits, and advising teams on cybersecurity best practices. The role also involves monitoring threats, reviewing PIAs, and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Experience

> Minimum 7 years of experience in IT/OT, cybersecurity, risk management, or audit-related work
> Solid foundation in system, application, and network security
> Familiarity with risk management frameworks and standards (ISO 27001/2, NIST, COBIT5, NERC CIP)
> Experience with IT/OT cybersecurity programs (e.g., patching, password controls, threat assessments)
> Skilled in risk assessment, vulnerability and threat analysis, and IT audits
> Ability to determine and mitigate risk effectively
> Understanding of audit requirements and compliance analysis
> Experience in internal control process improvement and project/task coordination
> Preference for candidates with both IT and OT cybersecurity knowledge; transferable experience considered
> Strong communication skills: approachable, humble, eager to learn and grow

> Knowledge of the NIST Framework
