Insight Global is looking for a Database Administrator to join one of North America's largest Retail and Wellness companies. The ideal candidate will be joining the Retail Data Analytics team supporting store analytics. This team will be adding an observability layer by introducing datadog and this individual will be supporting Snowflake. This person will be owning day to day management, troubleshooting and maintenance of Snowflake as well as configuring management, access control, security, compliance and user education. There will also be a level of ownership surrounding any implementation or coordination of system changes. The ideal candidate will be expected to work in a hybrid environment in Bangalore, India.

- Has 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role working with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory pipeline, Python and SQL
- Experience managing & administering Snowflake Database Setup and Configuration as well as managing current snowflake environment
- Has previous experience assisting with the administration of the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning of access, configuration of resources, performance and cost monitoring, policy governance and overall security
- Has experience with Python and SQL for automation
- Has experience managing Snowflake Data Security and Compliance: Implementing and managing security measures within Snowflake, including access controls, and network policies to protect sensitive information
- Have designed monitoring solutions to help understand and improve warehouse performance, query inefficiencies, remote spillage, user misuse etc.
- Has previous experience automating with CI/CD Pipeline using Gitlab
- Manage tagging solutions on database objects to assist in understanding costing within the account(s)
- Manage and administer Kafka Clusters
