Insight Global is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a large retail client. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the data transfer and accuracy of our retail merchandising systems (RMS), retail price management (RPM), and retail sales audit systems (ReSA). You will lead the identification, design, and implementation of integration, modeling, and orchestration of complex data using relevant coding languages.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include understanding business requirements and solution approaches for various initiatives, such as data market expansion and distribution expansion. You will streamline business functionality and support digital initiatives. You will be hands-on with Oracle Retail Suite of Products (RMS, ReSA, RPM, RIB), partnering with other teams (digital, retail, supply chain) to design data integration and transfer processes, ensuring accurate and efficient data flow.
With 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, you will lead interactions with different stakeholders, support junior engineers, and develop data transfer plans to support execution. Your open-minded leadership skills, retail experience, cloud stack experience (AWS), and proficiency in shell scripts and Linux scripts will be crucial.

8+ years experience as a Data Engineer with strong techno functional experience in oracle retail suites of applications (RMS).
Knowledge of Oracle Retail Merchandise System(RMS), Oracle Retail Sales Audit (ReSA), Retail Price Management (RPM).
Leadership experience guiding Jr Engineers
Expert in oracle PLSQL, Proc, UNIX shell scripting, integration Bus and message services.
Experience in developing and designing complex applications revolving around RMS with understanding of production support, maintenance process.
Experience working on service-oriented architecture.
Experience in Agile development methodologies using SCRUM and Test-Driven development.
Experience in using CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, maven/Gradle
Experience using a version control system as GIT/GITLAB. TES or any other Job scheduler experience is a plus.
Experience with Kafka streaming, Kubernetes, and public cloud infrastructure (AWS) is a bonus.
Knowledge in event driven design and implementation patterns, containers and micro-services, REST APIs are a bonus.
