Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Cybersecurity Solution Architect with strong cross-domain cybersecurity and IT expertise and a proven ability to evaluate solutions, define security requirements, and oversee secure deployment across enterprise environments. This is not a hands on engineering role—instead, this person will focus on design, requirements gathering, architectural governance, and ensuring deployed solutions meet security expectations.
This individual will work closely with internal SMEs, IT teams, architects, and project stakeholders to design security requirements, identify risks, streamline architecture processes, and shape foundational principles for future deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define security requirements for new solutions, applications, and enterprise systems.
• Assess “what the data is doing” and determine what controls are needed to protect it.
• Identify architectural and security gaps quickly and propose remediation paths.
• Apply least privilege and identity/access control principles, especially around critical applications.
• Review and trim down complex cybersecurity frameworks to determine which controls apply depending on the application or solution type.
• Provide architectural input for modern SaaS, Azure based, and Microsoft environments.
• Design security controls for systems such as HR platforms, operational apps, and SaaS deployments.
• Draft and document architectural principles (e.g., mandatory SSO requirements).
• Create forms, checklists, and templates to streamline solution architecture reviews.
• Align solutions with broader architectural standards, or document exceptions when required.
• Support the development of a consistent framework for evaluating new systems.
• Work across multiple projects to gather requirements from SMEs and stakeholders.
• Create clear documentation and deliverables, including:
o Security requirement documents
o Solution design packages
o PowerPoint summaries
o Implementation-ready requirement templates
• Provide requirements to technical teams who will deploy the solutions.
• Oversee alignment between the design and the implementation
