Cybersecurity Firewall Analyst

We are seeking a Firewall Security Analyst to support a net-new security review function focused on firewall governance and compliance. This role will be responsible for reviewing, validating, and routing firewall change requests, ensuring alignment with established security frameworks and organizational standards. The analyst will play a key role across the full lifecycle of firewall changes, including intake, mid-cycle validation, and post-implementation review, while also supporting tooling and automation initiatives.

- Strong understanding of network architecture fundamentals, including firewalls, routers, switches, and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with firewall operations, particularly in enterprise environments (e.g., Cisco firewalls)
- Knowledge of firewall change request processes and lifecycle validation (intake, review, post-implementation)
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment, and frameworks such as NIST

- Experience with centralized firewall management tools such as Tufin, FireMon, or AlgoSec
- Familiarity with both on-prem and cloud-native firewall technologies
- Exposure to regulatory compliance and security standard validation processes
- Experience supporting tool implementation, integration, or automation initiatives in a security environment
