Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Payroll Accountant for a leading healthcare technology client. This individual will join a fast-paced, high-growth environment and play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, reconciliation, and financial reporting. Reporting into payroll leadership, this person will support P&L reviews, audits, and system integrations while collaborating closely with finance and HR teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and confident handling sensitive financial data, with the ability to work independently and drive results in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-Day:
• Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure payroll data is accurately posted to the GL (D365)
• Manage payroll-related accounts (wages, deductions, benefits, accruals)
• Support internal and external audits
• Generate and analyze payroll reports
• Contribute to P&L reviews and provide payroll insights
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and leadership
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities
• Assist with M&A payroll integration and reporting

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–10 years of accounting experience (strong preference for payroll exposure)
• Strong knowledge of:
○ Accounting principles
○ Payroll laws & compliance
• Hands-on experience with:
○ Payroll reconciliation
○ General Ledger Integration (GLI)
○ Journal Entries (JE)
• Experience working with payroll systems (D365 preferred)
• Strong communication skills with ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately
• Self-motivated, able to operate independently (solo operator mindset)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• PCP or PLP designation
• CPA designation
• Exposure to public companies
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Exposure to M&A payroll integrations
• Experience in healthcare or multi-entity environments
