Job Description

We are seeking an Analytics Engineer / BI Engineer to support enterprise-scale retail analytics across Global Operations & Support at an enterprise retailer in Vancouver BC. This role focuses on building a robust data layer in Snowflake and delivering high-impact Power BI dashboards used by both technical and business stakeholders. Enterprise retail experience is required. Key Responsibilities:
- Backend (60%)
o Engineer and maintain analytics-ready data models in Snowflake
o Source, transform, and integrate data from ServiceNow and other enterprise systems
o Build scalable, reliable data layers to support enterprise reporting
o Ensure data quality, performance, and governance best practices
- Frontend (40%)
o Design and deliver Power BI dashboards and reports for operational and leadership audiences
o Apply DAX and BI best practices to create clear, actionable insights
o Support both standardized reporting and ad-hoc/exploratory analysis
- Cross-Functional
o Partner closely with business leaders, architects, vendors, and data teams
o Translate ambiguous business needs into effective analytics solutions
o Influence decision-making through KPIs and operational metrics
o Lead and contribute to strategic analytics initiatives across Operations & Support

Required Skills & Experience

- 4–7+ years experience in Analytics Engineering, BI Engineering, or Advanced Analytics
- Enterprise retail experience (required)
- Strong SQL skills; experience with Python preferred
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Power BI, DAX, and ServiceNow Performance Analytics
- Experience working with large, complex, multi-source datasets
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across tech and business teams
- Experience with operational metrics (SLAs, incidents, CSAT, contact center analytics)
- Highly proactive, organized, and comfortable managing competing priorities

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with people analytics (forecasting, scheduling, turnover)
- Exposure to AI-enabled or advanced analytics reporting
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Power Automate, SharePoint)
