Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an experienced Design Technologist to join a prominent utility in BC. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting engineering and project teams through the development and review of utility-focused designs. Responsibilities include preparing and validating preliminary designs, conducting peer and small designer reviews, and ensuring all work aligns with technical standards. While you won’t oversee external consultants immediately, you’ll gradually take on leadership roles in project coordination and design oversight.

You’ll be expected to run meetings, specify materials, and collaborate closely with engineers to confirm that site conditions and existing infrastructure meet design requirements. The role involves field checks, site visits, and working with historical drawings to support accurate and compliant design execution.
