Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Project Engineer, Development supports the planning and execution of Gas Sustainment and Growth Capital projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver AACE Class 5, 4, and 3 estimate packages. Responsibilities include preparing project schedules and budgets, leading development meetings and risk workshops, managing deliverables and reviews, and contributing to cost estimates and contingency planning. The role requires strong project management, communication, and leadership skills, with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in natural gas infrastructure or related fields. Candidates must be eligible for EGBC registration, with a PMP designation considered an asset, and must hold a valid BC driver’s license.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of experience in natural gas infrastructure development, design, construction, or operations; facility/plant piping experience also relevant
- Previous Project Engineering experience with a strong understanding of the Engineering Lifecycle – specifically Phase 1, Phase 2-3 + Phase 5).
- EGBC-registered P.Eng or eligible for registration + Bachelor of Engineering
- Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid BC driver’s license

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- PMP designation is an asset
- Owner-operator perspective required — seeking candidates with experience working from the owner's side, not just executing phases 3 and 4 as a project engineer
- Long-term strategic mindset — able to assess infrastructure decisions with a 10–50 year horizon, considering lifecycle value and operational sustainability
