Job Description
Insight Global is looking to onboard a strong E&I Engineer to a prominent utility in BC. This individual will develop and review E&I designs for gas facilities—including pressure control stations, RNG assets, compressor stations, and pipelines—while ensuring compliance with CSA codes and standards. The role includes technical documentation, feasibility support, field visits, and acting as an E&I subject matter resource. The engineer is an individual contributor reporting to a Senior Engineer, working closely with a nine‑person core team and about 30 people across the broader group.

Required Skills & Experience
P.Eng + EGBC eligibility (open to other Canadian P.Engs willing to transfer)
6–7 years of experience in natural gas transmission/distribution or oil & gas projects
Minimum 2 years as a licensed P.Eng
Owner‑operator, engineering consulting, or municipal utilities experience (City/Water/Metro Vancouver acceptable if open to training on station work)
Strong knowledge of:
Electrical & Instrumentation/Control Systems design
DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA/Telemetry
Electrical distribution, grounding, schematics, I/O, wiring, control cabinet layouts
Electronic control systems
Working knowledge of CSA codes for oil & gas
Ability to analyze technical information, make sound engineering decisions, and work independently or within a team
Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Previous ATCO or similar experience from similar owner operator companies
