Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced asset‑management professional to embed within the department and lead the advancement of a practical, defensible, ISO‑aligned asset‑management framework across a vast portfolio of linear and facility‑based gas assets.

This individual will assess current processes, map gaps, develop an Asset Management Policy and SAMP, build a multi‑year implementation roadmap, and then lead initiatives that improve standards, data quality, governance, and decision‑making across SAP, Copperleaf C55, GIS, and related systems.

Success in this role requires deep experience in regulated, asset‑intensive environments, the ability to translate strategy into actionable processes, and the capability to guide the organization through maturing its asset‑management practices while supporting major system transitions such as SAP S/4HANA and ESRI GIS.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/.

ISO 55000 / IAM / maintenance certifications - Strong understanding of asset‑management standards and how to apply them in practice.

Regulated‑utility or public‑sector experience - Familiarity with compliance‑driven environments and long‑lifecycle infrastructure.

Experience with linear and facility‑based assets - Pipelines, rail, refineries, substations, or similar.

GIS/ESRI understanding - Ability to work with spatial asset data and understand its role in asset management.

8+ years relevant experience - Someone who has already built or improved asset‑management programs, not learning it for the first time.

Ability to prioritize capital & maintenance decisions - Strong judgment balancing risk, cost, and operational realities.

Strategic‑to‑tactical translation skills - Can map current state, identify gaps, and turn them into actionable plans.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Engineering background (P.Eng preferred) - Adds credibility when working with technical teams.

Gap‑assessment experience - Especially against ISO 55000 or industry best practices.

Leadership or vendor‑management experience - Creating scopes of work, managing consultants, leading workshops.

Asset‑health & data‑analytics capability - Turning raw data into health indices, criticality scoring, and decision‑support tools.

Regulated utility background - Gas, electric, water, or rail.

Experience with both plant‑based and linear assets - A major advantage given FortisBC’s asset mix.

Prior consulting experience - Useful for structured assessments, roadmaps, and stakeholder facilitation.
