Insight Global is seeking a Technology Operations Specialist to join a large retail client onsite in North Vancouver. As a Technology Operations Specialist you will be responsible for the deployment of new technology devices that empower users across the company. The Technology Operations team is a group of dedicated and effective support technicians and analysts responsible for the delivery of effective tools to users, and comprehensive support to bring those tools to fruition. We work as a team in collaboration with business users to provide optimal IT solutions. We strive to be the difference between good and great.
The key area of focus will be deploying new devices to new hires and existing users including laptops, cell phones, tablets etc. They will be responsible to spot any inefficiencies to improve this practice. In addition, they may be tasked with a small portion of support of these new devices, for example, if a new device is deployed and doesnt work out of the box.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Unboxing and setup of new technology hardware, including but not limited to laptops, tablets, cellphones, printers and networking hardware
Pre-provisioning and profile setup of new technology hardware
Coordinating the shipment and setup of new technology hardware to remote users
Coordinating the on-site installations of new technology hardware
Supporting the users in the start-up of new technology hardware
Maintaining accurate asset inventory within the ITAM system
Disposing of end-of-life technology hardware
Responsibilities looking ahead:
Assisting in the deployment of hardware for remote users to drop-ship using processes supplied by hardware vendors to decrease resources required, improve turnaround times, and facilitate remote workers
Working on a strong ITAM strategy and toolset to empower teams with accurate audits, predictable fleet lifecycles, and accountability for devices from onboarding to offboarding
