Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a QA Engineer to join a large retail client in Vancouver to support their Data and Analytics team. The QA Engineer will ensure software quality through manual testing, including Black Box and White Box methodologies. They will collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX/UI designers to understand project requirements and specifications, applying Agile methodology to manage testing tasks and participate in Agile ceremonies.
Defects will be tracked in JIRA, with detailed documentation and follow-up on resolutions. The QA Engineer will also validate Power BI reports for accuracy and usability, and conduct usability testing for UX/UI elements. Continuous improvement is a key focus, with regular analysis of testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The day concludes with a review of activities and preparation for the next day's tasks.
Responsibilities:
Conduct manual testing, including Black Box, White Box, and other testing methodologies, to ensure the quality of our software products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
Apply Agile methodology in the testing process to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
Utilize JIRA for defect tracking, ensuring accurate documentation and communication of issues.
Work closely with development teams to understand system architecture and design for effective test planning.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes.

3-5 years of experience as a QA Analyst/ Engineer with a focus on manual testing.
Experience working with UX / UI and working with Power BI
Strong SQL skills
Experience working on Data Analytics projects
Strong knowledge of JIRA for defect tracking and project management.
Extensive experience manipulating data in a testing environment
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
