JOB DESCRIPTION
Working for the IS Support & Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of how people access technology in their day-to-day work. You will work out of the New Westminster Manufacturing and Engineering facility, providing IT Support to the business teams which work out of this facility (such as the HR/ P&C teams), and the manufacturing / engineering stakeholders. You will host and manage the systems that are the foundation of our technology solutions and support a very diverse range of departments, all within a connected and cohesive organization. You will:
- Man the support desk to answer questions/provide support to onsite users
- Help users make the most of their Windows/Mac workstations, iPhones, printers, handhelds, tablets and other devices in a warehousing environment through their whole lifecycle from initial imaging through to safe disposal
- Provide connectivity to desk areas and assisting remote users with basic connectivity support to ensure they can communicate with the systems they need (WiFi/Ethernet/VPN) in and out of the office
- Onboard new users and other day-to-day IT support tasks as coordinated by a central support ticketing system
- Assist in meeting room technology maintenance

Required Skills & Experience
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-3+ years IT Support experience and the ability to work autonomously
- Experience with Windows, MacOS, Microsoft office suite and or a Windows networking environment
- Hands on experience managing and maintaining printers
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with a knack to communicate complex IT issues to a wide range of audience members
- Strong understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework including ITIL V4
- Customer service orientation with a passion for IT Support and a desire to grow in a collaborative environment
- IT Support and or Customer Service-related education
- Ability to lift equipment as needed up to 20lbs
-Dynamic and extroverted personality with an affinity for solving problems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with, or are familiar with the idea of a ticketing system (Jira, Zendesk etc)- ie. can open and close an active ticket
- Experience with AV/HDMI configurations in meeting rooms (ie. setting up sound bars and televisions).
- Experience troubleshooting for diverse devices within a warehouse (IE> Scanner guns).
-Experience or exposure to the following:
o Scripting: PowerShell, bash, Python, or similar
o Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP
- Experience with Zebra and Xerox is a plus
