Job Description

This leading retail company in North America is looking for a Health and Safety Business Partner to join their team. As the Health and Safety Business Partner, you will play a large role in the development, execution, and maintenance of the health and safety management system across the organization. You are an experienced occupational health and safety professional with a superior knowledge of health and safety regulations, and your strong desire to partner and educate key leaders and employees will drive the continual success of the program and empower our employees to create a better work environment.

Required Skills & Experience

•You have 5 years of Health and Safety field experience, preferably in retail or distribution
•You are well-versed in local, provincial, national and international Health and Safety regulations, including but not limited to Work Safe BC, OSHA, ASHARE, ISO and WELL building standard
•You have experience liaising with applicable Health and Safety and Environmental regulatory authorities
•You possess strong relationship management skills
•You have experience in supporting and executing health and safety strategies
•You have excellent influencing, and communication skills, with the ability to obtain buy-in from multiple stakeholders
•You are an excellent problem solver with keen investigation and analytical skills and are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues to develop the right solutions
•You are a hands-on collaborator with a can-do attitude who will not hesitate to roll up your sleeves and bring others into action
•You have other certifications in the Health and Safety field (eg: CIH, ROHT, CHSC, CRSP, CRST)
