Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Power BI Developer to join a large-scale Canadian financial authority on a short-term contract to support the development of net-new dashboards that drive financial and operational insights. This role will focus on building well-structured, stakeholder-facing Power BI dashboards from the ground up, leveraging existing data pipelines to support decision-making across the organization. The developer will operate as a strong self-starter, working independently to design, build, and deliver high-quality visualizations that improve clarity and insight for business users.
• Design and develop net-new Power BI dashboards from the ground up to visualize financial and operational data for a range of business stakeholders
• Translate loosely defined problems into clear, well-structured dashboards that support strategic insights and decision-making
• Work independently to assess data and reporting needs, connect to the appropriate data sources, and develop dashboards using the available information.
• Model and transform data to support meaningful visualization and storytelling
• Apply best practices in dashboard structure, layout, and usability to ensure clarity and adoption
• Partner with internal stakeholders to iterate on dashboards based on feedback and evolving needs

Required Skills & Experience
Must-haves
• 3–5 years of experience in data visualization and dashboard development
• Strong, hands-on experience creating net-new dashboards in Power BI
• Proven ability to operate as a self-starter, owning work end to end with minimal direction
• Experience accessing data pipelines and modeling data for analytical and strategic insights
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders through visualization
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses
• Experience in the financial services or credit union/banking sector
• Experience working in enterprise-scale environments
• Data cleaning and data quality experience
