Insight Global is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join one a BC largest Credit Unions. This person will be responsible for the following in the day to day of the role:
Payroll Processing:
Spend one week on biweekly payroll processing.
Ensure accurate completion of payroll cycles.
Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries.
Remittances:
Handle RSP remittances and union dues remittances.
Assist with year-end processes, including T4 and T22 forms.
Collaboration:
Partner with the HR Analyst team to support technology and the Dayforce system for optimization of those systems.
Collaborate with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounting teams on remittances and payment processing.
Manage bank statement reconciliations and outages.
Leadership:
Comfortable interacting with multiple leaders and stakeholders.

Certification: Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a larger organization.
Proven ability to handle high volume payroll processing.
Experience assisting with year-end processes and T4s.
Technical Skills:
Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUP formulas.
Experience with payroll audits (e.g., identifying and correcting errors such as incorrect bank account entries).
Familiarity with large payroll systems, preferably Dayforce and Ceridian.
Education: Formal education in a related field is preferred.
Operational Flexibility:
Ability to operate both part-time and full-time.
Experience running multiple payroll cycles (monthly pay, with different cut-offs for part-time and full-time employees).
Analytical Skills:
Strong critical thinking and auditing skills.
Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies.
Benefits Administration:
Experience with benefit deductions and managing benefit files.
Knowledge of RSP plans and Defined Benefit (DB) pension plans.
