Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to support the Asset Management team and a large-scale auction operations platform built on legacy monolithic architecture. The environment consists of a Java-based backend with an Angular/JSP frontend and an extensive Oracle database containing thousands of tables.
In this role, the developer will work within a complex legacy system and contribute to ongoing modernization efforts. This includes navigating and enhancing the existing monolith while progressively extracting and building microservices.
The ideal candidate is highly fluent in Java and has a proven track record of diving into large, intricate monolithic applications. Experience breaking down monoliths into scalable microservices is essential. Frontend experience (such as React) is helpful but not a key requirement.
