Insight Global is looking for a Senior Data Architect to join a large AAA gaming company remotely in Canada for a 6-month contract to hire opportunity. The Data and Analytics team is looking for a blend of technical expertise and leadership capabilities to shape the analytics architecture and deliver value to the business for their largest titles. This person will engage with a wide range of team members including analytics leaders, analysts, game studios, data engineering, data science partners, and others. You will also provide subject matter expertise on the architecture journey, contributing to the development of analytics products for your titles. Your contributions initially will be working with technical leaders to assess the data and analytics roadmap for your titles and making recommendations. This will be followed up with prioritizing the backlog and driving change based on these set priorities. To be successful in the role, you must have excellent verbal and written communication, be a thought leader, and be self-driven.

- 10+ years of experience in data modelling, architecture, and analytics (ex. star schemas, designing tables, conceptual/logical modelling)
- Expert on Snowflake cloud-based data warehouse
- Experience leading complex data projects and driving architectural innovation
- Experience with modern data architectures, including Data Lakehouse concepts and understanding AI/ML integration to be able to advise data scientists on data architecture design
- Expert-level skills in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and distributed systems design
- Understanding and solution design experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies (ex. Kafka, Spark Streaming)
- Proficiency in SQL/Python to be able to review, troubleshoot, recommend, and/or optimize on engineers queries
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written, thought leader, strategy driver, self-driven, collaborative
