Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Financial Accountant to join one of North America's leading auctioneering companies. Reporting to the Controller/Assistant Controller, the Financial Accountant (FA) will be a key player in facilitating the financial reporting and compliance for multiple Canadian entities. Working closely with the Operational and Corporate Finance Teams, the FA is a key contributor to the month-end close process preparing journal entries, working papers, and variance analysis.

Required Skills & Experience

-2 years minimum of experience in an accounting role
-University degree in finance/accounting specialization.
-Experience working with ERP systems, such as Oracle Cloud and Salesforce
-Prepare monthly journals with relevant supporting working papers.
-Perform monthly SG&A and P&L variance analysis for multiple entities.
-Run various reports from the accounting system to support the team.
-Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
-Proficient with Microsoft excel and word
-Manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks accordingly, and meet the expectations of multiple stakeholders (i.e. corporate finance team, external auditors, internal auditors, executives, business leaders, etc.).
-Be flexible, and work collaboratively as a team, taking on new tasks as needed to achieve the goal of timely and accurate reporting.
-Prove intermediate knowledge of US GAAP.
-Perform monthly analysis of financial information and obtain a thorough understanding of variances in account balances to provide meaningful commentary to senior management.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Working towards Canadian CPA (preferred).
