Job Description

Insight Global's client is looking for a Senior Programmer/Developer that will be responsible for the development, support and maintenance of computer applications and databases that support daily operations and services. This includes researching, designing and documenting systems and applications, and identification of automation opportunities within department/team processes. This position develops, tests, and supports software systems and applications and proactively promotes efficiencies in programming and prioritizes software and automation efforts that are crucial to the success of the IT department and the client.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6+ years of Information Technology development and support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Unix or Linux operating systems
- Ability to understand the SDLC Mythology
- Experience with source code management tools
- Hands on experience with Java, React, spring boot
- Familiar with microservices

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Jira
- Energy felid
- Kubernetes
- Python
- 2 or more years of utility industry experience
