Senior Robotics Perception Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Robotics Perception Engineer to join our client's growing team and help drive innovation in autonomous mobile robotics. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience, along with 4+ years of experience writing production-level code in C++ and Python. This person will lead large-scale technical projects, working with vision-based algorithms and deploying computer vision and machine learning models in real-world applications. Proficiency in ROS2, Docker, GitHub, and containerized software development is essential. The right person should be comfortable working with various imaging modalities and sensor domains, including 2D/3D LiDAR and cameras. They should also have hands-on experience with frameworks like PyTorch, OpenCV, and NumPy. Preferred candidates will bring expertise in segmentation, object detection, cloud computing, and CUDA programming. High level problem solving and communication is a must-have.

-4 years minimum experience writing production level code in C++/Python.
- 2 years Perception Robotics experience minimum
-Demonstrated ability to initiate and lead large-scale technical projects.
-Demonstrated ability to work with large scale vision-based datasets on a variety of sensor domains (camera, 3d and 2d lidar)
-Experience with autonomous mobile robots, ROS2, Docker and version tracking(i.e., GitHub).
-Experience architecting and deploying CV/ML models in real world applications
-Hands on experience with PyTorch, OpenCV, or NumPy
-strong communication and critical thinking skills
