Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong domain experience in IoT systems, HVAC/refrigeration equipment, and real-time data processing to support the rollout of a third-party solution. This role is functionally and domain-heavy, requiring a deep understanding of equipment such as refrigeration, HVAC, controllers, sensor data, and facility systems.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow
Proficiency in Python, Spark/PySpark, and SQL
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for streaming data
Strong understanding of IoT systems, especially in: Refrigeration units, HVAC systems, Controllers and sensors
Familiarity with equipment and systems from Emerson, Honeywell, or similar
Ability to explain how data flows through IoT units and how sensors are designed and monitored
