Job Description

The Test Solutions team develops and supports test capabilities throughout the engineering lifecycle for Missile Defense products. This includes defining test requirements, designing and integrating advanced test systems for labs, field environments, and production. The goal is to deliver robust, affordable, and reliable test solutions that enable successful development, verification, and sustainment of weapon system products.

The Test Systems Engineer works across engineering disciplines to define and document test environment capabilities. This role requires strong systems thinking, knowledge of developmental and production test processes, and an understanding of hardware testing from component to full system integration. Responsibilities include identifying technology risks, supporting factory transitions, and contributing to hardware verification and validation using proven test methods.

**Key Deliverables**
- Define test requirements and system capabilities across the engineering lifecycle
- Integrate models, simulations, prototypes, and test beds into comprehensive test solutions
- Support factory transitions, hardware integration, and validation using established test methodologies
- Identify technology risks, cost drivers, and opportunities for improved affordability
- Mentor teams and support implementation for major development programs

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
- Systems engineering experience across test requirements, planning, integration, and verification/validation
- Technical or program leadership experience managing risk, schedule, or multidisciplinary resources
- Ability to develop, decompose, and manage systems requirements throughout the product lifecycle
- Familiarity with modeling and systems engineering tools/methods (UML/SysML, DOORS, standard test methodologies)

**Tools/Technologies Required**
- MBSE Tools such as DOORS, CAMEO, Rhapsody, etc.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Advanced degree in a STEM field
- Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, and design for manufacturing practices
- Familiarity with Agile development processes
- Experience supporting proposal efforts and bid decisions
- Knowledge of FMEA, Model Based Engineering tools, and technology/manufacturing readiness levels
