Job Description
A surge effort supporting a critical defense contractor in Tucson, AZ is looking to hire a Systems Engineer for their Test Solutions team.
This includes defining test requirements, designing test systems, and integrating advanced technologies for use in labs, field environments, and production. The team delivers robust, affordable, and reliable test solutions that enable successful development, verification, and sustainment of weapon system products.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (3–5 bullets max)
•Coordinate with the Program Manager/IPTL and report eam status metrics
☐Lead engineering team activities and oversee technical decision-making
☐Review and approve system changes through CCBs and participate in FRBs as required
☐Support system integration, deployment, and troubleshooting efforts

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years’ prior relevant experience
• Experience with the functionalities of Test Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience for both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production, manufacturing, product qualification environments.
• Experience with design, development and/or integration of test equipment.
Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have)
• Strong organizational, coordination, communication, and teamwork skills
• Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of test equipment, rack and cable assembly, and common electronic measurement tools
• Ability to troubleshoot systems using instruments such as oscilloscopes, analyzers, and data acquisition tools
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and working within Agile processes, including EVMS and gate reviews
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
