Job Summary
The Security Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial security systems to ensure the safety and protection of people, property, and assets. This role involves working with technologies such as access control systems, CCTV, alarms, and related hardware in commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration:
Install and configure security equipment including alarms, access control systems, and video surveillance systems.
Maintenance & Testing:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal functionality of all security systems.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with security systems promptly.
Customer Interaction:
Collaborate with clients or internal teams to assess security needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company security policies.
Emergency Support:
Respond to urgent security system failures or alarms and provide immediate corrective action.

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in security systems preferred.
2+ years of experience in commercial security system installation and maintenance.
Knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in commercial security.
